Between Love and Loathing- Book Review!

Damn. But like…. Hot damn. 🥵🔥 This book completely consumed my soul. I knew I loved the first book in this series Between Commitment and Betrayal (which was also a 5 star read) but for some reason, in true Corinne fashion, I didn’t read the second one and instead left the whole world of Shain Rose and moved on without returning for months and months. I’m glad I didn't though, because I got to read it now and I LOVED the entire thing. (With that being said I do recommend reading this series all together because there were things I had forgotten about other past characters💁🏼‍♀️)

Dominic. Hardy. 😮‍💨😮‍💨 Good lord have mercy, this man is the most beautiful, powerful, possessive, no bullshit, broody, protective, loving, caring, man...The Man. He is the ultimate ✨DREAM✨…with the dirtiest mouth.🤤🫣 When he said something he meant it. When he decided something was his, he committed in every way. I could not get enough, the next book (and I’m assuming Hardy brother) has a lot to live up to… and I will be starting it directly following… probably.

Then there is Clara, I also completely adored her. She was so sweet and people pleasing but she really found her way. I think her growth throughout the book happened so flawlessly. She was such a perfect match for Dominic (considering I already have a husband 🙄). She held her own without being over bearing. There were so many opportunities for her to become a whiny, dramatic, over emotional character, but the way Shain was able to make her vulnerable, while also protecting herself and remaining independent… was just… chefs kiss* 🤌🏻💋

If you are looking to be completely sucked in and devoured by a book, I cannot recommend this one enough. 😍
