Emily Henry, I don’t know how you do it but you have done it AGAIN! I loved this book. Something about the way EH writes just makes you feel…. all the feels, but in such a warm and delicious kind of way. Her books are always so cozy and light, but also thoughtful and heavy- without the heaviness ruining your happy vibes. I think it’s the way she has her characters carrying their problems you just can’t help but feel inspired and excited to watch them grow and overcome all the obstacles in their path.
The title alone is just so perfect and romantic, and the minute you start to read you understand exactly where this is going.
I was nervous at first because I did not see myself falling for the MMC. He just seemed too rough around the edges and not at all the kind of book boyfriend I am normally out to find. For that, I apologize for ever doubting EH’s ability to accomplish anything. Miles Nowak is so freaking sweet and genuine and understanding and patient… ugh. Chefs. Kiss. 💋 🤌🏻
Everyone knows I am a sucker for a good opposites attract, fake relationship on the grounds of revenge story, and of course Funny Story - delivered.
